This is the sign as it appears on the whole building.
Lonnie plans to work on the flour sack tomorrow, Sunday. And he hopes to finish up on Monday if all goes well.
The sign reads:
CENTRAL AVE CASH
GROCERY AND MARKET
STANARD-TILTON MILL COM
ROYAL
PATENT
FLOUR
However, to the left of the sign is the faint outline of a flour sack. From two magazine sources we have to of their sack, it looks like these:
Thus Lonnie, the painter, will have to use the two sacks we have found and figure out how he will re-create the sack on the wall which is not legible.
The store was a grocery store and confectionery for many years, and many of you on this list who went to Dewey School wrote about going to this store.
It turns out from our research that Cash was the name of a grocery chain in the same way that Schnucks or Kroger was.
