TIME IS TIME

By: Julie Duane

How can I say that I will leave you never --

Time is time, and nothing is forever

Though we sit here enchanted, in a way

With the golden aura of this summer's day

Dispelling all but love for one brief hour

More fragile is that love than this small flower

Which I so gently hold within my hand

There are no words to make you understand

I love you - yes - and I am here today - But that is really all that I can say
