The city of St. Louis web page says the house was built in the 1930s. This we know to be false. My own father grew up there, and my living Aunt Catherine was actually born in the home in 1923. The Corbetts have moved there in 1921.
From St. Louis City Directories and the 1900 Federal Census I have the following data:
Peter Walker and family lived at this address. In the 1900 census they are listed there, Peter, his wife and three children.
Prior to 6410 Wade he is listed in the Gould's St. Louis directories as living in Clifton Heights in 1892 and 1893.
I have no record of who lived there.
Joseph Statten is listed at 6410 Wade and at 6410a is Grover Matthews.
J.T. Nixon (a steelworker) and Pearl lived there according to St. Louis City directory. As did Wm. C. Nixon, moulder
John and Kate Corbett owned the house and lived there. John died in 1944, but Kate lived there until her death in 1960.
Bill and June Corbett owned the home.
Henry and Erma McLean were the owners.
Alured and Lorene McNulty were owners.
Keven and Franchon McNulty live there and are the owners.
