I don't know if monetisation is the correct term in english, but it is
the process of selling in the local market international (mostly US)
alimentary donations as rice, corn, cooking oils, wheat, etc. 

It is a procedure used for generating funds for development projects.
(you may have heard of USAID, PMA, PL-480)

I urgently need information on that, or on who to contact (even by phone
in haiti or elsewhere)
