There will be a Kiba Kreyol 1999 International Festival (the first annual) planned in Cuba from 31
July to 3 August to "promote a cultural exchange among those countries which speak Creole as part
of their cultural and spiritual richness", including Martinique, the Seychelles, ile de la
Reunion, Rodrigues, Saint Lucia, French Guiana, Haiti, Guadeloupe and Cuba.
