Very interesting. This gets at the concern I raised earlier about the pathology of a sick culture. 
Studies in neurosis demonstrate that the neurotic personality tends to reinforce his neurosis 
rather than seek healing. So it appears to be with Haiti. Solutions that threaten entrenched 
negative attitudes and practices are vigorously opposed and their proponents disparaged to 
the point of murder. 
Haiti's unique psychosocial condition needs to be researched and documented. Out of that a 
variety of solutions can be developed. A regimen for overcoming pervasive hostility to 
improvement is a prerequisite to more materialistic programmatic solutions.
