#365: Haitian Prejudices: Foxwell comments on the deaf

From: Louis Foxwell <l.foxwell@worldnet.att.net>

My experience has been with deaf people in Haiti and those hearing people who have or
crave authority over them. The deaf are ready, willing and able to take advantage of every
opportunity to help themselves and their community.
Those in authority over the deaf of Haiti deny them every opportunity for independence. The
deaf respond to this by creating a condone sanitaire to protect themselves from the wolves.
