$562: Steven Barry; Our Man in Haiti (fwd)
From: LeGrace Benson <legracebenson@clarityconnect.com>
For an interesting take on activities of Steven Barry during the time he
was with US Special Forces in Haiti, see page 9-10 of the Sothern Povert
Law Centers INTELLIGENCE REPORT for SUmmer 1999, Issue 95. Just recently
mailed out and around.
A snip:"In January, four months before the Army's memo [responding to
charges that Army personnel had aided anti-Aristide miliraty, paramilitary
to cache their arms] Barry boasted in print about the SFU's anti-Aristide
activities in Haiti...in a 1999 issue of the THE Rister, he wrote of his
own role in subverting the U.S. mission..."So, despite the best efforts of
our [current US government]Communist administration, there are still
hundreds of anti-Communist Haitians who still possess militarily useful arms."
Who knows more or has data to refute or bring into question?
