I received this e-mail today at work and wanted to see if the list 
(in its infinite breadth of knowledge ;) could help me. Here's the 
message for you art afficionados (sp?):

"In 1990 I bought a painting by a artist Pierre Rene. I was told the 
artist is from Haiti. I bought it in the island of Guadeloupe. I am 
looking for additional information on the artist perhaps to purchase 
additioal pieces. Can you help me?"

If anyone does know, please let me know.
