I am sure that we Haitians would be able to

answer that question sensibly if only we could

play on a level playing field.

The problem is that the powers that be always

intervene ... to tilt the playing field to insure that

those with the beggar mentality prevail.

The history of our country in this century is replete

with that sort of intervention ...
