Funding mission to Haiti

Georgetown, Guyana, CANA - The Caribbean Community
(CARICOM) has an agreement with Canada for CDN100,000
dollars to finance a regional electoral observation mission to
Haiti. The agreement was signed Wednesday by CARICOM
Secretary General, Edwin Carrington, and Director
General of the Canadian International Development Agency
(CIDA) Caribbean Programme Stephen Free. The funds will
be used to partly finance the electoral observation mission
for the planned elections on March 19.
