Sacred dance and transcendental music will possess the stage and explore
the relationship between Haitian Vodou and the development of jazz.  La
Troupe Makandal and Master Drummer Frisner Augustin (winner of the NEA's
1999 National Heritage Fellowship) will perform traditional compositions
and jam with Master Jazz Drummer Andrew Cyrille, guitarist Alix "Tit"
Pascal, and bass player Lisle Atkinson.
