The title "U.S. Invasion" is a wrong title.  An invasion is a violent assault 
by a hostile army.  The correct term would be "United Nations Multi-National 
Forces Intervention".  

The UN intervention occured at the request of the Haitian government, with an 
aim to restoring said constitutionally elected government to it's rightful 
role, and this aim was achieved with surprisingly little military force.  The 
Haitian Army did FAR more harm to it's own people!
