Odette Roy Fombrun, historian and writer, did research on the flag of
Haiti, published in 1987 by Deschamps:  LE DRAPEAU & Les Armes de la
Re'publique d'Haiti. Illustrations include all the flags since the
original, as well as photos of relevant documents.  The cover of this small
paperback volume reproduces a painting of circa 1804 now in the MUPANHA
collection, depicting the declaration of independance. The discussions are
detailed and cite many documents.
