   Some facts about Haiti's legislative and local elections Sunday:

   --Registered voters: about 4 million of the population of 8 million.
   --Candidates: 29,490.
   --Elective offices: 7,625 posts, including Parliament's 83-seat Chamber
of Deputies, 19 seats in the 27-member Senate, 133 three-member mayoral
commissions, local, rural and urban councils.
   --Polling stations: 11,238.
   --Ballot papers: 23 million unnumbered ballots printed.
   --Budget: $22.5 million, with $8 million from international donors.
   --Observers: 22,500 local and more than 200 international monitors from
more than a dozen countries, including five U.S. legislators.
   --Security: About 3,500 police officers deployed nationwide.
   --Results: expected to trickle in over a week.
   --Runoff elections: June 25 in legislative constituencies where no
candidate wins the 50 percent plus 1 vote majority.
   --Inauguration: no date set.
