National Coalition for Haitian Rights seeks freelance writer with experience 
in journalism, human rights field to write and edit a report on the 
perceptions of the Haitian community in New York of the New York Police 
Department.  This is part of a project call Legal Education and Assistance, 
which seeks to establish better communication between the community and the 
police.  Actual research, focus groups, interviews and a literature review, 
are either under way or completed.  The position is expected to last about 2 
months.  Location and compensation are negotiable.
