 Haitians to talk about AIDS

The Haitian community is uniting to combat a serious enemy: the
disproportionate rate of HIV/AIDS victims in the Haitian American
communities. The inaugural Haitian Leadership Summit meeting to discuss
the status of health and socio-economic issues, and the way these issues
are affecting the rate of AIDS, will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.
The keynote speaker will be Daniel Montoya, director of the
Presidential Advisory
Council on HIV/AIDS. The meeting will be held at Florida International
University's North Campus, located on Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast
151st Street in the Kovens Conference Center.
