While of course violent crime can happen anywhere and Port-au-Prince is a
city like any other, I have noticed that when the enemies of the Lavalas
regime want to underscore their dissatisfaction and paint the Aristide
administration as being "lawless" or Haiti as being "falling into chaos",
there follows a spate of high-profile killings and/or attacks on foreigners
in the capital.
