TITLE: ATTORNEY
PROGRAM: IMMIGRATION
REPORTS TO: Program Director

DUTIES:
? Appear at Immigration and State Courts on behalf of clients.
? Provide case management for clients.
? Provide supervision to paralegal, support staff, law interns and college 
students.
? Keep abreast of changes in immigration law and procedures, local and 
national immigration legislation in order to improve the organization's 
capacity to better serve and advocate for immigrants.
? Conduct community education sessions and workshops.
? Write and conduct public speaking on immigration policy and advocacy 
issues.
? Conduct training sessions on legal aspects of immigration to center staff 
and law interns.
? Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bar approved attorney, or recent J.D. graduate with Clinical Immigration 
courses.
? Experience in immigration law and procedure preferred.
? Sensitivity to political and cultural backgrounds of immigrants.
? Exceptional writing skills a must.
? Self-motivated and well organized.
? Bilingual preferred (French/Creole).

SALARY & BENEFITS: $38-42K with a comprehensive benefits package, including 
three weeks vacation, 12 paid holidays, sick leave, 100% paid premium for 
medical insurance, and a 403(b) pension plan.
