I recently re-read Hurston's "Tell My Horse" and have become
intruiged with her chapter about "The Black Joan of Arc" --
President Antoine Simon, his daughter Celestina, and their goat 
Simalo.

Does anyone know of other sources about this short-term president
and his daughter or have any stories to share about them?
