Unfortunateley, there are not too many alternatives.
You can:

a) try Air France or ALM, but I am sure they are
booked by now;
b) try Lynx Air from Fort Lauderdale or West Palm Air
from West Palm Beach to Cap-Haitien, and then catch
Tropical Airways or Caribintair from Cap-Haitien to
Port-au-Prince
c) fly to Santo Domingo and then catch Caribintair
from the DR to Port-au-Prince
d) fly to Panama and catch the Panama City/
Port-au-Prince flight on Copa
e) fly to Guadeloupe (Pointe-a-Pitre) and catch the
Air France/Air Guadeloupe flight to Port-au-Prince 
f) charter a plane from Miami. If you are in a small
group, this will be more expensive but it will get you
there.
g) swim :-) watch for the sharks!

None of the alternatives above, apart from a) and g),
are cheap, nor are they convenient. But if you are
desperate, they may offer an alternative. As you can
tell, you (and a bunch of other people) are affected
by the quasi-monopoly American has on the
Port-au-Prince route.
