Well, I picked up an oral history tale that somebody called Henri
Louverture was captain of the personal bodyguard of Confederate general
Nathan Bedford Forrest (a body of seven men, all black)-- and supposed to
be a son of Toussaint. Unlikely but not wholly impossible. This Henri
could not have been a legitimate son but Toussaint seems to have had a fair
number of children andeyo-- and it's an interesting thought, for Toussaint
and Forrest have a lot in common in matters of leadership style and
military tactics....
anybody else ever hear of this one?
