9358: Haiti's Bicentennial (fwd)

	I am interested in finding out if there are any special efforts
being made to commemorate the bicentennial of the Republic of Haiti,
1804-2004 in each of the countries of the Caribbean and Latin America.
	
	Such efforts are already taking place in the United States in a
number of fora, including an attempt to have the U.S. Postal Service issue
a special stamp about the event.

	Some of us would like to see a whole host of events at the
"official" governmental level, in the private sector, at colleges and
universities and elsewhere.
