Dear Amy--I interviewed a guy in Jeremie who was in hiding in 1993... it
was relative, too, though. During the day he was often seen in front of a
house  near the crossroads in St. Helene playing dominoes with his
friends. But at  night he could be anywhere except at his own house. One
night he heard people break into the house NEXT DOOR to where he was
hiding--looking for HIM.  The  goons in Jeremie rarely approached people
during the day, so people "in hiding" played "musical houses" at night.
