I just found an interesting reference to a book titled, UNITED STATES COLONIES AND
DEPENDENCIES.

The book is described by the author as “The Travels and Investigations of a Chicago
Published in the Colonial Possessions and Dependencies of the United States, with 600
Photographs of Interesting People and Scenes."

The book contains a discussion and multiple photographs of the following _COLONIES_
(in 1914): Alaska, Hawaiian Islands, Philippine Islands, Porto Rico (Puerto Rico),
Panama Canal Zone and Republic of Panama and of the United States’ dependencies of
Cuba, Dominican Republic AND THE REPUBLIC OF HAITI.
