Hello, Corbetters.

I will soon be serving as an expert witness in an immigration-related court case.  I'd like to know as much as I can so that I can do a good job assisting the Haitian person who is on trial.  Could you let me know what you think are the best sources for finding succint but detailed information on the topics listed below?

1) The political and social situation in Haiti between 1997 and 2001.

2) The human rights abuses perpetuated by the Haitian National Police against Haitian citizens--particularly, repatriated citizens--during that time.

3) The (un)availability of residence in other countries (Nassau, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Venezuela, etc.) for repatriated Haitian citizens during that time.
