Two tires were thrown over the heads of the crowd into the circle of energy
created by the tension between the crowd, their leaders and the police who
drew their guns at instinct. No one sat down and had a tire put around their
head, no one had gasoline doused upon them and summarily set ablaze. This
view is a creature of the myth perpetuated and repeated until it has become
true in the lexicon of the "international press." It is but one example, of
the prism effect, with regards to the true reporting of actual reality and
events in Haiti.
