This book is not in creole but is very much linked ot thte Krik Krak
tradition
that is so dear to us.  It is entitled Miyon and the Mountain Spirit and
is
available through Vantage books. It was written by a Junior High school
teacher
from Brooklyn named Adrienne Jeudy.  Charming and intelligently written.
It
speaks to the Haitian American children living in the U.S.A., who often do
not
read Creole. It teaches the importance of obedience to parents, and the
strong
sense of community which Haitians show when one of their own is in
trouble.  I
enjoyed it!
