Dear Mr. Blondell, This old e-mail message just came to my attention, so
perhaps you have received many responses to your inquiry.  In case you have
not, the Archives d'Outre Mer in Aix en Provence has extensive St.-Domingue
plantation records.  I used some in the Archive in Paris in the 80's, but am
given to understand that all of these are now transferred to Aix.  This
refers primarily to secular plantations.  Those held by missionary orders
are sometimes in France and sometimes in the Archivio Segreto Vaticano,
sometimes in the mother hose of orders.  You probably have no use for those
in any case.
