Save the Children (SC) is starting a new Title II food security
program in Haiti focused on health, nutrition, and
agricultural and infrastructure development, with a strong community
mobilization component. While the Title II program will cover several
target areas in Haiti, much on the emphasis will be on activities in
the Maissade region in the Central Plateau of Haiti.

The Maissade Program Manager will be responsible for the successful
implementation of Save the Children's Maissade and Artibonite
programs, including those implemented by SC's two regional partners,
and will be responsible for overall supervision, administration, and
financial management of all SC activities in the region. The Program
Manager will implement SC's Title II Program in Maissade and will
manage sponsorship-funded activities, as well as provide leadership
for community mobilization activities. The position is located in
Maissade, a remote area of Haiti.

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in economics, health, agriculture,
social science or relevant discipline; Master's degree in
international affairs, economics, agriculture or rural sociology
preferred. Three years international development experience with
concentration in agricultural production, health, nutrition or
community development in a difficult environment. Experience in
program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Grant
management experience, and familiarity with USAID reporting
requirements. Experience in managing PL-480 Title II programs,
including food for work, and maternal and child health programs.
amiliarity with Food for Peace requirements for commodity management
and reporting. Strong leadership and communications experience, and
demonstrated community organization/mobilization skills. Experience
with emergency logistics preferred. Fluency in both English and French
required; knowledge of Haiti's history, culture and Creole language a
plus.
