I thought members of this list might find this interesting. If you
didn't get a chance to participate, I recently put together a brief
video of the Haitian Flag Day street festival which took place in
Brooklyn on 5/19. It was very interesting and Haitians showed up in en
masse. What I found most impressive was the number of young kids who are
now taking some real pride in their Haitian heritage. People usually
attribute this to the success of Wycleff Jean but, although I can't put
my finger on it, I believe there is something more basic and fundamental
responsible for this transition.

Also, I've noticed that one has mentioned the upcoming Creole Expo on
the list. I've added information about it on HaitiXchange, but I'm
curious as to who else may have heard about it.
