I believe that in France, in the government archives in that government
bureaucracy-obsessed country, are very complete, detailed records of the
value of imports into France from St. Domingue which were used for the
calculation of tax payments. There are also many, many estimates that have
been made by historians and other specialists since the colonial period. I
guess one could say that the total of all that was the product of slave
labor, unless you want ot deduct something for the 'management' provided by
the slave owners. There's no problem.
