A Unity call from Senou

May 18, 2003 and January 1st, 2004 should be a Haitian
event. It could have been great that each major
metropolitan area organize two gigantesque free
events.
People in Miami, New York, Boston, Montreal North, and
those small communities please joint hand together.
Establish a joint committee in which all groups and
personalities should take part, no exception.
	This has never been done before, but I strongly
believe we can do it.  Folks, it is about time that we
put aside the invisible line that separates us and
work together for the well being of your community.
In everything, the first question will be what is my
ROI (Return on Investment) but my friends the ROI does
not have to be money but it can be something that
every body can benefit from. We have thousand of
qualified Haitians in New York, Miami, Boston,
Chicago, and Montreal North and in various areas in
the world, please join hands and do something for your
community.
If you believe that you can work only with your
friends, please give others a chance. If you believe
that you can work only with the members of your
church, please stop using religion.  We are all
Haitians, each of you is unique but we can join hands
together. Please respect each other, respect the
profession of each other, and respect yourself. Again,
there are some, who are going to use religion, saying
we want to celebrate with people who share our faith.
If you fall today, are you going to request assistance
from someone who shares your faith or from anyone?
My people are divided everywhere in the world, I want
you to give them a chance. For the first time in your
life, do something for the common good.

Fall on a Sunday and Thursday and there is a reason
for that.
Today, my brothers and sisters put aside the animosity
that you may have against each other and make yourself
a valuable citizen in your community.

NB: Folks, if you are really interested to do a joint
event, please refrain discussing controversial topics
such as the Haitian politic and religion. You know how
passionate Haitians are and you know these two topics
are very sensitive; therefore, do not.

Please, do your best to reiterate that union, this
might be the starting point in building a community in
your area.  It could have been a cool idea that each
of you take 18 months break, do not talk negative
against each other, stay out of Haitian politic when
discussion what need to be done and religion.  You
cannot seriously help Haiti if you cannot help
yourself first. If we were really united not faking
it, the main land could have breathed much easier.

Please share this post with those in your areas and
May each of you become a productive member in your
community. Have you taken some time to look other
immigrants in the US, Canada and France?
Learn from them and do the same. Please check out the
Jews community, the Cuban and the Jamaican communities
and so on. You are going to say that we are different,
I know; is this a reason for not trying? Just try,
give it one more try and your grandchildren who are
going to live here may thank you for that.
I know how frustrated you are, I know how upset you
are, for not having an established Haitian community
in your area, use that anger to do something positive.
Staying aside, you would be like someone who did not
go to the poll and later complain about the winner or
complain about how well it could have been organized
but remember you could have been the person to put the
final touch. Each of you has a skill that can be
useful where you live.
