12660: A Haitian Book Selected in a Prize/Contest

I wanted to inform the list and in particular the members of the press
that a Haitian book has been selected for the following Prize:

PRIX DU LIVRE INSULAIRE - OUESSANT 2002 . (I am not a translator thus I
did not want to translate this)

The book selected is "La pluie et ses tambours" by author Jean-Max Calvin.
Mr. Calvin was born in Port-au-Prince on June 1st, 1945. He chose the
route to exile in New York in 1957, where he has been living since.
