ACCORDS- The Association for the Promotion of Music in Haiti was founded in 1998 by music lovers from the diplomatic, business and private sectors in Haiti who joined together to organize a series of classical concerts featuring Jamaican born, American Maestro Jon Robertson, thirty members of the California Chamber Orchestra and French pianist Veronique Briel as soloist.  With the funds raised from the Franco-American Encounter and the concerts and activities that have followed over the last four years, ACCORDS has been able to fulfill her mission of:

Bringing internationally renowned artists to perform in Haiti.
Promoting Haitian music/musicians locally and abroad.
Facilitating workshops and master-classes for professional musicians and young people interested in music.
Offering artistic direction and financial assistance to people and organizations active in the Arts.
Fostering appreciation for the Musical Arts in Haiti.

The Board of Directors of ACCORDS holds the belief  that music is a universal language and unifying force that can uplift the minds and souls of individuals, as well as bring together people from various nations and cultures.  We are pleased to be joining Healing Hands for Haiti and Fondation Espoir in their efforts to heighten the awareness of all Haitians as we present a positive image of the Disabled in Haiti.
