I fail to see how this is ridiculous. What is the other option, simply be
AGAINST Aristide? If one is against something and not FOR anything.....what
good is that? It's a gripe session.....boo hoo.....so tough to be him (what
about the starving and the ill and the helpless poor Haitian?....now THAT's
tough). It takes no guts at all to be against everything, but to stand up
for what's right and the person (potential candidate) who embodies those
righteous values....that takes courage. Have you thought at all while you
are singing his praises that the people have made a pact not to allow another
coup.......no matter what??? Perhaps that is why you see retaliation when
someone begins to criticize Aristide. They know how the other coup
started....with the same propaganda (ad nauseum) and they will not let it
happen again. It IS repression, but they are scared you will take away their
president again. They will not let this happen. Stop trying to ruin
Aristide. Hold him and the government accountable, by all means. But do not
try to remove him. FIND your own candidate and sell him to the people (do it
quickly because you only have a few years to accomplish this). Do it right
for once, you educated Haitians. Stop whining and work the system. You will
have to give the people a better life.......can you do that? If you can,
you've got a chance. Best wishes (I mean it)
