he was killed in dec of 2001 because he sympathized with the democratic
convergence.  this was clearly stated by members of domi nan bwa (a popular
organization with ties to lavalas) and was repeated by presidential
spokesmen.  On radio vision 2000, earlier this year they stated that the
murder was not a case of an attack on press freedom, rather this man was
killed because of his support for the opposition in general and the
democratic convergence in particular.  by the way, no one has been arrested
in this case even though spokesmen for the popular organization claimed
responsibility...
