13254: Arthur sheds light on Transparency International's assessment of Haiti (fwd)

In light of the hou-ha about Haiti appearing near the bottom of the annual
corruption perception table published by Transparency International, I
grateful to Ms Marilyn B. Allien of La Fondation Heritage pour Haiti (LFHH)
for providing me with the following information:

For the first time, Haiti was included in Transparency International (TI)'s
Corruption Perception Index (CPI) in 2002.

TI does not currently have a section in Haiti.

Haiti's place on TI's 2002 CPI is based on information provided by
international donors (bi-lateral/ multi-lateral agencies).
