For a paper due in the next few days, I am still trying to track down the
actual source of a statement I have heard on several occasions.  That is,
Haitians educated in Haiti complain that the opening line of one of their
standard history texts began (in French) "Our ancestors the Gauls..."
Does anyone recall actually seeing this in print? If so what was the book?
I will appreciate any information.
