When was the last reporter who won a pulitzer for its coverage of Haiti? Or
has there ever been one? Carol Guzy of the Washington Post won for
photography, and her entry included stuff from other places. Few
journalists, with yours truly and Marjorie Valbrun, who is now at the Wall
Street Journal, can be traced  their ascend to their Haiti work. I can think
of some who were battered because of their work. So the conspiracy of
editors in Miami is folly. Believe me, Haiti 's bad news doesn't sell
papers. My subscription and distribution should have gone to the roof by
now.
