I am posting this for an undergraduate student at the University of Albany in
New York.  She is currently taking a class titled, Haiti Through Literature
and Film.
She would like to know why AIDS was thought to be a Haitian disease in the
beginning.  She also would like to know of any books or articles that deal
with this topic.  She already knows about Paul Farmer's book, "Aids and
Accusation: Haiti and the Geography of Blame."
