Please note from the time i wrote this post i have clarified to my own sound
approval of Mr. Nadal's sources. As such my post stands as the following...

In regards to the recent post suggesting the medication taken Aristide and
the Sanok’s post indicating that we should show compassion and sensitivity
in regards to a person’s mental state, I would like to say this: I agree
that we should not be discriminatory against any human being be it their
race, religion, ethnicity or indeed their mental capacity. But I would also
be tremendously cautious if these findings by Mr. Nadal are true. What we
have here is the leader of a nation, who relies on prescriptions to control
his mental functions. That’s downright dangerous if we consider the
decisions he has to make; what happens if he accidentally takes a milligram
to much or too less? Will this effect his decisions? In any normal
circumstance, I would turn a blind eye on a person who requires endless
amounts of medication to function as a whole person. But the mere fact that
it is a leader who has undeniably too much on his plate really causes me to
worry that perhaps one day should he forget to take ‘blah blah’ milligrams
of ‘blah’ medicine, will he accidentally do something out of routine.



Sanok, I agree love is the answer. But unfortunately in reality it is far
from being so. Society practices discrimination on a regular basis. (It is
unfortunate) We want people who can function efficiently and more apt to
certain positions. Organizations and firm’s no longer take high school
drop-outs into their ranks (maybe they do, but a small minority), they
require at least one, if not two degrees with a preference of a second
language of all applicants.( I recently learned this upon my application)
It’s not about the sanity or insanity of Aristide that has me worried. I
think what makes me wriggle in my seat is that too much power and control is
given to a singular person who, has the potential to make a regrettable
decision while on these medications. Oh but this argument would make me
utterly discriminatory eh? All I can say is, that is life. I think the
“materialistic-ness” of life has gone beyond simplicity. Society craves and
wants bigger and better things. I’m not saying Aristide is not bigger or
better, only that in any given situation, he would have been long retrenched
in any public sector for his pill poppings to make way for another candidate
who does not require medications to perform the job. Then again, maybe
Aristide wasn’t cut out for the job to begin with if he needed all these
pills. I don't really care how much medication Aristide takes, all i show
interest in is whether him taking or not taking these prescriptions may
catapult Aristide to react in "out-of-ordinary-ways" in his actions and
decisions.


It would however be interesting to note whether Aristide required these
medications before or during his term in the office? Oliver! Enlighten me…
