It is absolutely amazing to see how the "general strike" falls straight down
class lines. All of the doors of the bourgeois businesses are closed while
the poor ti machann, the poor tire repairer, the poor sellers of manje kwit
remain open for business.  This may actually mean, that for a change,
business will be brisk for them today and they may be able to feed their
families well this evening.  While eating a meal at a local manje kwit ti
restaurant, people took note of this fact and laughed about it after one
them said, "moun gran gou pa jwet, nou ouvri blan".
