here is an interesting tidbit on the truth and justice commision:
alphonse lahens was in prison from jan '91 to early oct '91.  after the coup
on sep 30 91, he was transfered to saint francois de salles (hospital) and
treated for the latter stages of colon cancer.  note that he was never
allowed medical care while he was in prison.  he subsequently died about two
monthes later.  now, either this is a case of "dead man walking" or
something is gravely wrong here.  now, i won't argue m. bertin's involvement
at this time, but if they can mistake (maybe on purpose) alphonse lahens
with someone else, maybe they made a mistake with her too...
