If repeated factual inaccuracies (pointed out here many times to no avail),
along with a curious reluctance to mention employment by the government TV
station and a vision of Haiti as in the grip of a perpetual conspiracy, are
to pass for "insight," then this list is in poor shape.

The contributions lauded above remind us of how regimes that mouth the holy
word "the people" (and then fails to perform for reasons independent of
outside influence) can attract outsiders eager to whitewash any aberrations
or abuses that may arise (and indeed, as here, eager to whitewash the
whitewashers...).
