I beg to differ, but Stotzky, having been for years on Aristide's payroll,
can hardly be considered an objective observer.  In reality, he cannot speak
Creole and has never had any meaningful contact with the Haitian people.  His
essay is actually quite simplistic and reflects his ignorance of Haiti's
quotidien reality.  To blame Haiti's quagmire entirely on foreigner
governments, which Stozky explicitly does, is ridiculous and likewise
reflects his man's ignorance of Haiti's complex sociopolitical reality.  Just
goes to show you that those paid by the Lavalas government will of course say
nice things about Aristide.
