14333: Pina posts re: Paid Informants for the "Regime" (fwd)

From: kevin pina <kpinbox@hotmail.com>

It is convenient how those critical of US foreign policy in Haiti are
painted as alternately being paranoid conspiracy theorists or paid
informants for the "regime". Character assassination, misinformation and
false assertions are thrown around like candy while no one dares question
where the money comes from to pay James Morell, George Fauriol, Charles
Manus, Lawrence Pezullo, Orlande Marville, Ira Lowenthal and Evans Paul. No
one questions who provides the funding for the aptly misnamed "Haiti
Democracy Project". Instead it is usually a one-sided argument where Lavalas
is evil and anyone with a positive opinion of it must be a paid lackey while
the opposition are magically transformed into "angels of democratic reform."

I personally would not mine if Professor Stotzky received a fee for any
opinion he might render, he is an internationally renowned legal and human
rights expert and witness. At least someone would finally be benefiting from
the truth instead of throwing away good salaries for sloppy and biased
reporting.
