and besides, mr. arthur, does anyone anywhere need the right to assume
anything?  your last statement is entirely illogical.  not that i was
assuming, but after counting at least 20 individuals on the list whom i
communicate with personally, who agree with me on this issue (you know,
the
one that you silenced by truncating my statement), it is safe to say that
i
am not assuming anything but am stating something that i know for a fact.
thank you, mr. arthur, for pointing that out to me. furthermore, the 20 or
so
people i have in mind are no mere casual observers of haitian affairs, but
seasoned activists, writers, and development folks who know haiti very
intimately.

i would never quiestion your right to assume that someone is actually
loved
by all, however mistaken i think you may be, so please do not dare tell me
i
have no right to assume what i feel that i know.
