Haitian Music Awards nominations are in

Well, it's about time. For the first time, the seventh Haitian Music &
Entertainment Awards nominations include Grammy superstar Wyclef Jean. And
this year's event is special, too, because it ''kicks off'' the bicentennial
of the Republic of Haiti.

Some bands/artists received five nominations apiece: Djakout Mizik, ZIN,
Konpa Kreyol, Tvice and Nulook. For a list of the nominations, go to

Winners in the various categories will be announced at the HME Awards live
concert and ceremony on March 22 at the James L. Knight Center in downtown
Miami.
