I am totally against the withholding of the 500 million dollars loan for
several reasons.

That "financial embargo" has nothing to do with democracy in Haiti. It's
there to destabilize the present government and make Lavalas and Arisitide
look back. And in my opinion, to also discourage the Haitian masses into
organizing and choosing a once very and now still popular leader.

Why do I say that??

There are at present several countries in the world run by dictators that
are receiving billion of dollars in aid from the US and European countries.
(Pakistan, Jordan, Egypt etc.....)
The Pakistani President came to power through a coup d'etat and has met
the US President twice in theWhite House last year.

Even though there are US troops stationed in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, there
is no freedom of expression in those countries. Women are not even allowed
to drive a car in Saudi Arabia. Let alone for demonstrations.
Saudi Arabia has a lot of money oil but still buy most of its weaponry from
the USA. Democracy??? You must be kidding.

I could go on and on to explain why that financial embargo is criminal and
oppressive in nature.

Poor countries all over the world, mostly black countries, must find a way
to free themselves from that financial yoke."so called fiancial aid).

I don't like hypocrisy. If you don't want to help Haiti, that's fine. But
please don't tell me it's because you care about democracy in Haiti.
